Dear Freeport High School Parents,

Our first month of the 2016-2017 school year has been an exciting and busy start to the year. Our students are working diligently in their classes, the athletic teams have been making Freeport extremely proud with their hard work, extracurricular clubs are getting up and running and the fall drama production is in full swing! Our freshmen are getting more and more acclimated to the school with the support of their mentors, as every freshman student has been paired with an upper-class mentor for the year. Students have their shiny new laptops in their hands and were extremely patient while waiting for them to be distributed. Our students and staff have been enjoying the newly renovated sections of the building, such as the library, the new guidance and nurse’s offices as well as updates to classrooms, hallways and bathrooms. We had a fantastic Homecoming weekend and many thanks to our Athletic Director, Craig Sickles, and all of the families who volunteered their time to make it a success. We are looking forward to a busy October as the weather gets a bit chillier, the leaves begin to turn and our school community pushes full steam ahead to build student success.

  • Please check the daily announcements (sign up on our website to receive the announcements, rsu5.org) for all school events including athletic game schedules.  Athletic schedules can also be seen from the link on our website under “Athletics”.
  • All teachers have weekly office hours when students are able to connect with them for support.  Check the RSU5 website under Freeport High School for the schedule for teacher office hours.  This schedule is also posted in the Main Office.

    • @Freeport_HS for both sites
