Become a Mentor!!!
The Community Mentoring Program offered through the Aspirations Partnership is looking for adult mentors to meet with a student at lunchtime once a week, while school is in session for the duration of the school year. Right now, there is a particular need for mentors at Freeport Middle School and Mast Landing School. We read stories in the paper about successful businesspeople, competitive athletes and inspiring teachers, and one thing they often have in common is a mentor who guided them along the way. Most of us can probably think of at least one adult we looked up to when we were young--someone who believed in us. Thank you to all of the caring, committed mentors for their
dedication and energy, and hope more adults will consider mentoring in our schools. For information, please contact Dede Bennell, RSU5 Student Aspirations Coordinator, at bennelld@rsu5.org.
